how do you care for a tree frog?

feeding ,caring ,heating

You need to determine what type of tree frog you have. They all have different care requirements depending on what part of the world they come from. All frogs require live food like crickets, and it is a good idea for all species to dust the crickets with calcium supplements once a week so the frog can remain healthy. Depending on the species, a tree frog may need humid conditions, or drier and may require higher temperatures than room temperature. All species must have access to clean water, changed daily. It is best to use water that has been standing overnight so the chlorine is removed or one can buy chlorine removers at the pet store that are used for tropical fish.
For the bottom of the cage, it is a good idea to use some kind of bark material, or soil that is specifically designed for amphibians, and cleaned of all parasites.
The most important thing is to find out what species you have, and try to recreate the conditions found in its native environment.

How do I take care of a North Carolina tree frog.?

hylid

If it is wild caught it is definitely best to release it as close to where you found it as possible, wild caught animals can not only bring in parasites and diseases to your family and pets, but also most do not do well in captivity, a lot of them refuse to eat or run into the glass of an aquarium until they cause permanent damage or even kill themselves not to mention they would be very unhappy.

However if it was a captive bred frog here is a caresheet on the tree frog (I couldn’t find one on the north Carolina tree frog but these should give you a good place to start).

There are a couple of things that this caresheet does not mention that I would like to add, frogs like all pets need yearly checkups to make sure that they are healthy, also frogs should not be handled unless absolutely necessary, and if you have to wet your hands first, the oils on your hands can damage their skin allowing infection to set in. Good Luck!

how do i take care of a grey tree frog?

i found a grey tree frog outside and i dont know how to take care of it what should i do

The best thing to do is to return the animal back to its habitat. It is not good just taking animals and keeping them as pets.

White's Tree Frog care?

From numbers 1 -10 What would you rate the difficulty of taking care of the frogs. (Seperate) 1-10 The maintinance?

Hello! :)

White's Tree Frogs are excellent pets! I love the croaking noises that they make. :) ) Makes you seem like your outside when you hear them!
They are not difficult to take care of, it just depends on how much time you want to devote to maintenance and how many frogs you have in the tank at one time.
As the fogs need to eat crickets, meal worms..etc, they defecate ( as all living things do) and this causes a bit of a mess down the side of the aquarium glass and on the substrate below. They also need constant moisture and humidity! They need this for their skin integrity.
They also need a heat source as you need to simulate day time…
You should purchase a book on caring for them as I could keep writing re: them for a bit here ;) lol.
If you don't keep them clean (which is quite important), they will get little mites in the substrate below them and these mites are quite hard to get rid of once you have them!
You would probably need to wipe out and clean their cage once a week to every ten days…

They are beautiful animals to have as pets! Just as with every pet though, there is time you need to dedicate to maintenance and care. Please as I said above read, read, read on them… I hope I helped a bit and good luck! ;)
