Umm well I'm not having fun with this one but it would really be best if you let the frog or toad go because if you don't it will likely die from not being in the right habitat or place were it lives truly i tried it before with a frog and i did everything i could but the next day he died. This is truth so if you want him to leave please put him back were he belongs. But if you want a frog you could go to the pet store.

Thank you,hope i helped!!!

There are a lot of things that have to be accounted for when you have a reptile as a pet. One of my good buddies growing up had a python. He had set up a mini resort for the snake. It was pretty awesome how much detail he put into it.

My grandson keeps his in a relatively dark fish tank. about an inch of forest soil and about 1/12 inches of leaves twigs and bark chips . overlay of bigger pieces of bark and 2 inch branches with pealing bark. kept out of sunlight. feed termites and other forest insects catch em with small shop vac under bark on old fallen trees...use claw hammer to remove bark. optional (we use it) a fog generator makes a mist just like fog. use distilled or clean rain water. keeps well with snails and banana slugs. we have about 11 i n a 10 gallon long tank. they hide mostly in groups. they have big teeth but never tried to but...so far. Good luck. life you can get more than you SHOULD recycle them.....let em go after a while and get new ones....we do that...they are all fat when they leave

Really, you guys say "your going to kill it". Well guess what.. it will die anyways, and the people are just trying to have fun. Keep it, as long as you give it a great home, large enough space, and food. itll be all good. Dont listen to the others that say let it go, cuz guess what "your parents never let you go" and im perty sure some of you were unhappy living with them. RIGHT??

I got home the other night after picking my other half up from the station and found a HUGE frog or toad on the driveway. It seemed ok once we moved it out of the way of the car and has since disappeared so all ok I think.

I've always wanted to have a reptile as a pet - definitely sounds like a lot of work to build up the perfect habitat though! Still, really good advice - if I ever decide to take the plunge I'll definitely refer to this!

Thanks for the infos. I have a six year old boy and I'm trying to get him to shift his attention to easier to manage pets because his sister is allergic to dogs. This has become one of my options because of the great write up, so thanks

turtles are really cute..having one is not as simple as buying stuff toys. you need to have an ample amount of info before venturing to owning one.
